A senior representative of the South Korean government said today that most likely response to recent statements by North Korea in Washington will be a turning point in the contentious issue of Pyongyang's nuclear program.

Many officials also point out that North Korea's time to answer some questions that have long been demanding permission.

On the eve of the Pyongyang expressed a willingness to revisit the nuclear program, but noted that Washington will have to clarify several points in its policy toward the DPRK .

North Korea has previously demanded that the U.S. give up on its "hostile course" and a formal apology for the words of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, when she was in January this year called the communist system "model of tyranny."

Attempts to resume the negotiation process was intensified after reports that North Korea had extracted from the reactor to 8000 fuel rods. Experts say this will allow Pyongyang to create additional nuclear weapons, reports Associated Press.
