The strike has paralyzed New York

In New York City is a citywide strike.

In the strike involved more than 30,000 drivers, train drivers, dispatchers, cashiers and attendants at the stations. Closed subway stopped bus.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg called the actions of trade unions "reprehensible." Damage could reach up to 400 million dollars a day. Local authorities have already developed a contingency plan of action.
