Handed down the first verdict on September 11

The Supreme Court in the German city of Hamburg has recognized Moroccan Mounir Motassadeq, who was arrested after the Sept. 11 attacks in the U.S., convicted of belonging to a terrorist organization.

He was sentenced to seven years in prison, thus becoming the only person convicted in connection with the events of September 11.

However, the judge did not admit his guilt in helping the organizers of the September 11 attacks on America.

Two years ago, Motassadeq was convicted on both charges and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but the verdict was canceled as a result of successful appeals lawyers.

The success of the review of the case provided testimony in the custody of U.S. members of al-Qaeda. At the first court of the Americans refused to do any of the information pertaining to the case.
At a retrial, they also refused to allow German investigators to members of al-Qaeda, but to provide the court excerpts from interviews.
