Accused of supplying cadavers Gunther von Hanegsu denies blame

Verdict against the chief of the Novosibirsk regional bureau of forensic medical expertise Vladimir Novoselov will be appealed, said his lawyer, Michael Kuriles.

According to him, appeal against the sentence would be lodged within 10 days.

Counsel argues that Novoselov "no relation to the shipments of corpses in Germany did not have."
In turn, he Novoselov, said that from this process, for which, as he put it, "followed by the whole medical community," substantially damaged his reputation.

Recall that the Court of the Kirov district of Novosibirsk admitted Novoselova guilty under article 285 of the Criminal Code - "abuse of power" and sentenced him to a fine of 35,000 rubles.

Head of the Novosibirsk regional forensic bureau, Honored Doctor of Russia Vladimir Novoselov - the only defendant in the case of illegal export of corpses in Germany.

As follows from the case, 51 dead in 2000 from Novosibirsk have been taken out of the German scientist Gunther von Hanegsu, who heads the private Institute for Plastination in the German city of Heidelberg. He is also known in the West as avant-garde artist, arranging shocking anatomical exhibition of dismembered bodies, reports RIA Novosti.
