In the Smolensk region detonated Orthodox chapel

On Monday night, unknown persons have caused serious damage to the Orthodox chapel, erected at the memorial to the memory of fallen soldiers near the village of Red Hill Viazemsky area.

"Incoming information suggests an external influence - is not expected to blast the installation, - told Interfax news agency an anonymous source.

Department for External Church Relations (DECR) Moscow Patriarchate reported that an explosive device was embedded in the eastern part of the building. The explosion destroyed the walls of the chapel, as well as its roof and floor. Have been damaged and to nearby buildings, reports Sedmitsa.Ru.
