42% of Russians fear of revolution

Almost half of Russians (42%) admit the possibility of massive popular demonstrations like those that occurred in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan . In this case, a third of respondents (32%) do not believe in the possibility of a "color revolution" in Russia.

Causes that may lead to a revolution in Russia, respondents were identified as follows:

dissatisfaction with living conditions, the further impoverishment of the people - 18%

growing discontent of power, the adoption of "anti-people laws," an ill-conceived reforms - 9%

maintenance and aggravation of social problems - 5%

economic problems such as inflation or a sharp drop in prices for oil and gas - 3%

In addition, 42% of respondents believe that in Russia there are political forces in the country capable of organizing mass protests, such as occurred in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.

The results of the "color revolutions" in these countries, Russians assess the overall skepticism: only 6% believe that as a result of those lives of ordinary people changing for the better in the Ukraine, to 3% - in Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.

More often expressed the view that life in these countries is changing for the worse: 30% called in this context, Georgia, 26% - Ukrainian, 24% - Kyrgyzstan.
