A number of parliamentarians of the U.S. Congress said yesterday that the U.S. Defense Department is unable to control the flow of money - billions of dollars - intended for a military contingent in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries where U.S. conducts operations to combat terrorism.

As the Chief Control and Financial Management USA David Walker (David Walker), found discrepancies in the reporting of accounting information is part of a much more serious problems in the organization of financial activities of the military.

Congress previously approved the allocation of an additional 25 billion dollars to the needs of the Ministry of Defence for the current fiscal year. Now, lawmakers will consider a proposal to allocate another about 81 billion dollars to 75 billion of which will go to the cashier of the Ministry of Defence.

In this case, Walker, expressing confidence that the funds allocated have gone all the same by appointment, said that "trying to find out what exactly they were spent, like pulling a tooth."

In general, as noted by Walker, Department of Defense, which claims to be 419.3 billion dollars in the next fiscal year spend millions each year solely because of poor management of cash flows.

Office of Donald Rumsfeld , in turn, were not prepared to comment on the current situation.
