French senators rejected a bill on the contract of first employment

Today, the French Senate approved a new bill concerning the employment of young workers.

The bill was approved in record time. After withdrawal of the old law on the contract of first employment was only three days. Thus, MPs finally rejected the bill on the contract of first employment, which spawned a wave of mass protests of students across the country.

Recall that the first employment contract contained a provision under which an employer could dismiss a young employee without giving a reason during the first two years after the conclusion of the first labor contract, according to Interfax.
