A vaccine against avian influenza: who to buy?
In March and April in Russia begins mass vaccination of poultry against avian flu virus.
On the eve of Deputy Chief Veterinary Office Rosselkhoznadzor Nikolai Vlasov said that the vaccinations will begin with the Southern Federal District. In these regions, the risk of avian influenza infection is the highest, in addition, there have been instances poultry deaths.
According to officials, the vaccination should end in July. Preparations are now actively produce two plants, but much depends on the time of delivery.
Rosselkhoznadzor notes that the bird home farmsteads will be vaccinated for free. If this is the production of commodities for sale, the businesses should pay for the vaccine.
Also under the vaccinations do not get large poultry farms, because the bird at such facilities should not be in contact with wild, radio station Mayak.
