Alexander Lukashenko was sworn in and hit the "black list" of the EU
Alexander Lukashenko for a third time gave the oath of allegiance to Belarus. He promised that Belarus "will continue to move his or her independent course," and "the state will ensure full security of its citizens."
Lukashenko addressed the "words of gratitude to the leadership of Russia, CIS countries and China for support of the Belarusian course and accused the West of trying to use Belarus' foreign technologies of destruction, chaos and spiritual degradation," according to BBC.
"At the head of the crusade embarked our neighbors, newly arrived members of the EU" - said President Lukashenko.
Live broadcast of the inauguration were all Belarusian TV channels, radio, Internet portals, the official media.
Opposition parties have not performed in the inauguration day of protest events.
Meanwhile, the EU is preparing to adopt a "black list" of Belarusian officials, who will be denied entry into the EU. Topping the list is Alexander Lukashenko.
