Last working day at the famous London buses
Today is the last working day at the famous London "Rutmastera, double-deck red bus with open rear footrest. For the first time on the streets of London buses, these appeared in 1950. They have quickly gained popularity and became, perhaps, was the main attraction of the city. 2 760 "Rutmasterov" cruised on city streets in the years 1956-1968. Although initially it was planned that their life will be limited to 17 years, the final "verdict" it was passed only in 2003. Then it was decided to replace them with new two-tiered buses with 140 seats each. Several "Rutmasterov" still remain on the roads, they will operate as a "historical exotica" on the tourist trail, Covent Garden - Knightsbridge, ITAR-TASS
