At the beginning of the autumn-winter season 2004-2005. underground gas storage (UGS) Ukraine stored 7.8 billion cubic meters of gas belonging to Gazprom.

On October 13, 2004 on March 22, 2005 Gazprom sent 40 applications to the Ukrainian side on the selection of its gas from underground storage facilities for the supply of export contracts, but none of these proposals by the Ukrainian side was not satisfied.

At the meeting, the leadership of Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukraine "the Ukrainian side confirmed: with the Russian gas volumes in storage facilities, there are certain problems, but a clear answer, where are they gone, yet.

If the situation becomes clearer, then Ukraine will have to pay Gazprom lost gas, informs news agency REGNUM.
