Invented "smart" paper

September 21 2007

The laboratory staff Media Lab at MIT have developed a manufacturing technology of "smart" paper that has unique properties.

The essence of the proposed method reduces the introduction of the structure of the paper or conductive ink tracks of some form. For example, passing an electric current through a "pattern" in the form of a spiral that is embedded inside the paper, you can get a sheet to vibrate, and even make sounds.

The sound quality at the same time will not be too high, but well enough to play simple melodies. Kompyulenta reports.
