Scientists are studying the schooner Black Beard

Underwater archaeological work on the wreck, which, as read, belonged to the famous pirate Blackbeard, will be completed within the next three years. After that, anyone can see vseeksponaty associated with a legendary figure of sea knight. "This is really our goal - said the head of the excavation Steve Kladzhett.

The ship sank in 1718. Scientists believe that this is a French slave ship, which was captured by a black beard in 1717 and renamed it the "Queen Anne's Revenge."

Until now, scientists have raised to the surface about 15% of cargo that was aboard at the time of the crash. It is about gold, jewels, utensils and other findings. All of them are now stored in the laboratory of the University of East Carolina and North Carolina Maritime Museum.
