Seahorses are sexually promiscuous
Marine biologists have disproved the myth that seahorses are loyal to their partners. In fact, those animals in which males are being bred, flirt and mate several times a day with individuals of both sexes.
Scientists from 15 research centers for marine life in Britain and Germany studied 90 seahorses of three species in Australia, the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of La Manche.
They found that these animals are flirting with 25 potential partners a day, and Australian seahorses mate with females and males. Only some British seahorses faithful to one partner. Only 5 pairs of this kind of 22's fidelity.
