Lost a jazz trumpeter Oscar Klein

On Tuesday in Germany at the age of 76 years died Legendary Austrian jazz trumpeter Oscar Klein. Sister musician said that Oscar Klein was not sick. Therefore, his death was a sad surprise for all. He met in January to celebrate its 77 anniversary with a big concert in Innsbruck, Austria.

Oskar Klein was born in 1930 in the city of Graz in southern Austria, a Jewish family. Shortly before World War II, Nazi Germany annexed Austria, and the family of Oscar Klein was forced to flee the country.

Oscar Klein, who returned to Austria after the war, began his career as a jazz musician in Vienna, which, like many European countries, has been involved in the jazz boom. Oskar Klein was a self-taught musician until the end of his days never learned to read notes.

He, being an artist by training, in addition to pipes owned and clarinet, guitar and harmonica, but went down in history as a trumpeter, who confesses an aggressive Chicago school game that focuses on the blues and the characteristic black Chicagoans Kuti Williams and Roy Eldridge. The musician has collaborated with eminent vibraphonist Lionel Hampton, Joe Zawinul, Dexter Gordon and many other masters.

Oskar Klein owned seven languages and regarded himself as a cosmopolitan, the leading jazz venues in Europe were for him the same family as the halls of Vienna native. The discography of Oscar Klein more than 130 vinyl discs and 40 CD. Kommersant reports.
