Astronauts Atlantis successfully completed the last spacewalk

Crew members of the American space shuttle Atlantis' Rex Walheim and Stanley Love completed the spacewalk - the last for the flight to the ISS. Done a tremendous job.

Thus, the outer casing of the space lab "Columbus" was established two research unit. First - SOLAR - designed for observing the Sun, the second - ETEF - need to conduct a series of experiments in weightlessness.

For moving and installation of equipment, astronauts used an electromechanical manipulator - a robotic "arm". In particular, using this "hands" they learned from the "warehouse" ISS a broken gyroscope and drag it into the cargo compartment of Atlantis, on which the failed device will be delivered to the Earth. In general, the work of Walheim and Love outside the shuttle lasts 7 hours and 25 minutes.

Now, according to the flight plan, February 18, the shuttle undock from the station and head toward Earth, according to the website of the National Aeronautics and Space Exploration (NASA).
