Mobile phones be equipped with the retractable color display
The original handheld device called the Cellular-Book appeared on the market.
The main feature of novelty is the presence of torsional display, the size of which unfolded state is larger than the apparatus itself. Cellular-Book is a hybrid mobile phone, audio player and e-books.
The flexible display has a very high contrast and displays 16 shades of gray. For applications developers, information on the screen reads as well as on conventional paper documents. In direct sunlight readability is not deteriorating.
Owners of the device will be able to download electronic books, news, navigation charts and e-mail. True, the current version of the Cellular-Book is not capable of displaying animated graphics.
It is planned to issue modified apparatus with a flexible color screen that allows to view videos.
To connect to the PC owners will be able to use the unusual phone port USB. Office of Cellular-Book is equipped with 4 GB of internal memory, which is enough to store thousands of electronic books and pictures, as well as hundreds of music files.
The device, thanks to the monochrome screen with a very low power consumption, able to work a long time. On average, the battery will recharge once every ten days.
