Two of these pioneers of Japanese animation have been found in an antique shop in Osaka on the island of Honshu.
The first discovery was a two-minute cartoon Coaches Nakamura, "Katana", released in 1917. He walked without a sound and tells the story of the samurai who were tricked into selling a blunt sword. Second - Cartoon Kitayamy Urashima "Taro" was released in 1918 and has received world-wide success. The basis of this anime is folk tale in which a boy fisherman moved into a fantastic underwater world and travel on it at the back of a turtle.
According to the researcher of the National Centre of Cinematography of Japan Yoshiro Irie, these multipliers, and Auten Simokava, created in 1917, Japan's first commercial animated feature film, considered "the ancestors of Japanese anime."
