He died one of the pioneers of Italian comedy

Today, the 91st year of life died an outstanding master of world cinema director Luigi Komenchini, one of the "fathers" of Italian neorealism.

After graduating architect Komenchini engaged in journalism and devoted himself to cinema. However, A. Lattuada and M. Ferrari, he was behind the creation in 1938, the Italian Cinematheque in Milan, worked as an assistant to various directors, was an active writer, author of short films.

Komenchini debut feature-length film "Stealing is forbidden" (1948). Contributed to the formation of aesthetics of neorealism his most popular comedy "Bread, Love and Fantasy" (1953) and "Bread, Love and Jealousy" (1954), anti-fascist bands "All the houses" (1960), "Girl Bouba" (1963) and others.

Later, working in different genres mostly commercial cinema, the director kept the professional level, even entertaining films such as "Playing cards scientifically" (1972).

He collaborated with the classics of Italian cinema Rossellini and Dzavattini himself trained many talented artists, among them - his daughter Christina. Break the news.
