"Music of the Rain" can be heard on an ancient pyramid

Ancient Mayan pyramids emit sounds similar to the falling raindrops. To hear them just need to walk up the stairs. This phenomenon has long noticed by tourists and scientists may have found an explanation.

Mexican Jorge Cruz and American Nico De Clercq compare the sounds that issue Kukulkan pyramid with similar sounds of the pyramid of the moon and came to the conclusion sounds almost identical, although the pyramid differ significantly from each other. They suggested that the mystery of this phenomenon lies in the grooved surface of the steps of the pyramids.

Scientists suggest that "the music of rain was part of a ritual Mayan pyramids themselves but served to communicate with the gods, ITAR-TASS.
