Russian President arrived in Buryatia

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Ulan-Ude. In Buryatia, the head of state will visit the aircraft factory, will hold a meeting on socio-economic development of the Siberian federal district and visit the spiritual capital of the Russian Buddhists.

Medvedev will examine the "Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, which specializes in the production of Mi-171 helicopters and Su-25 aircraft. This company is one of the leading companies in the aviation industry and the military-industrial complex of the country and has a strong production potential.

The President will also visit the monastery complex Ivilginski temple, situated at the foot of Hamar-Daban mountain range 30 kilometers from Ulan-Ude and is considered the spiritual capital of Russia's largest Buddhist organization - the Buddhist Traditional Sangha.

Speaking about the forthcoming meeting, the head of state last Friday at a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council said that one of its main themes will be the preservation of energy balance in Siberia in connection with the accident at the power plant. This is reported by Vesti.
