The U.S. now has a festival in honor of a gay politician

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill recognizing May 22 the official birthday of Harvey Milk, the first in U.S. history, a politician who publicly declared his gay. A little before Barack Obama awarded posthumously Harvey Milk Presidential Medal of Freedom.

In fact, a year ago, Schwarzenegger rejected this bill, deciding on the level of the entire state that day must not declare an official.
