Eccentric German Goths with sado-masochistic image Umbra et Imago go to Rosciyu

One of the most eccentric and provocative group of German gothic scene Umbra et Imago has finally come to Russia. Sado-masochistic image became the "face» Umbra et Imago, and brought the team notoriety. It is through this time of SM-culture is now directly associated with Gothic music.

Early in his career Umbra Et Imago experimented with the gothic, new wave and EBM. Their debut album, Traume, Sex und Tod (1992) were successful, and at the end of the year the group was invited to take part in the festival Zillo. Vivid performances, invariably accompanied by the stunning visual effects, could not leave the audience indifferent.

A year later, was released energetic Infantile Spiele (1993). Composition Gothic Erotic became a dance hit and has long occupied the first rows of the European charts. The first album Gedanken eines Vampirs (1995) Umbra et Imago rang in a new, successfully combining the gothic rock and gothic metal with electronic elements in music appeared dominant guitar. An integral part of the legendary erotic show Umbra et Imago steel model.

In 1997, took a triumphant performance of Umbra Et Imago's largest Gothic festival Gothic und Wave Treffen in Leipzig. And in November the same year was released live album, The Hard Years. One of the most popular albums Umbra et Imago Machina Mundi was published in spring 1998. After recording a single joint Weinst du? (1999), the musicians went on tour with the now iconic folk-industrial German group Tanzwut.

After numerous tours in Europe and America, concerts, Umbra et Imago were still in demand and always passed with the notice. Their albums and singles came one after another, and each new release has been successfully previous (Mystica Sexualis - Machina Mundi - The Hard Years - Mea Culpa - Dunkle Energie). In 2002, a release concert DVD Die Welt brennt, including a special section devoted to the ideology of the group and the fragments of the best live performances.

With the release of new album, Memento Mori (2004), music has become more rigorous, dynamic and emotional. The album is presented in Dolby Surround sound perfect and mixed at Twilight Sound Studio. The last drive of Motus Animi, published in early January 2005 to 14-year anniversary of the group includes not only new songs, but the remixes of songs from old albums. Worked on remixes such eminent musicians as Wumpscut, The Retrosic, ASP, Atrocity, Monozelle, Dracul, Peter Heppner (Wolfsheim).

Musicians will perform March 25 in Moscow (club "Point") and March 26 in St. Petersburg ("Port" club).
