Today, the American director, screenwriter and producer James Cameron celebrated his 51-year anniversary. Perhaps the most unpleasant gift he presented to the Federal Court of Appeals.

The fact is that on Wednesday, the court took the arguments of an Australian couple - Filii and Konstantinos Curtis, who accuse Kemerona in illegal use of the idea of a transformed being.

Chet Curtis argues that it is they who, based on the Greek myth of poluchelovek-polubyke, invented in 1987 of a magical character who acquires different forms, and this film project titled "The Minotaur" continue to develop at their request, a professional screenwriter William Green. And it was just a copy of his script and then got into the hands of James Cameron, ostensibly to use the idea of transformation of the hero-cyborg in his own film "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", which appeared in theaters in 1991.

In "Terminator 2" acts cyborg-killer, made of special material, through which he can take any shape. The movie is being played by actor Robert Patrick. Special effects allowed to create the effect of "liquid metal" were absolutely innovative for its time and brought the film fame.

It is known that Green also tried to plead with Cameron, but to no avail. In turn, in 1998, Green sued his wife Curtis, defending their copyright on the "Minotaur", and won. Then they decided to sue, and the creator of "Terminator 2", but they refused to initiate a lawsuit, citing the fact that it is impossible for one and the same occasion to a lawsuit against various defendants. Now, however, obtained permission from the Appeals Chamber of the United States of initiating a new claim personally against James Cameron.

As reported by Guardian, now a famous director threatens to trial on charges of plagiarism. In his production company Lightstorm Entertainment declined to comment on such a turn of events.

At the moment James Kemeron working on a new cyborg-thriller «Battle Angel Alita» based on the same Japanese anime. In the mega-budget (according to the director) movie, filmed in 3-D technology, the action unfolds in a post-human world XXVI century.

Many of the central characters will be made on the computer, so it's a kind of virtual filmmaking. The main intrigue of the film's Love Story between a male human and female cyborg. The film will also be a range of characters from the fully human until the entire machine.

For a new team of Cameron's film creates a motion-capture technology to a new generation, which will allow even more precise and detailed to carry the motion and facial expressions of the actors on their computer characters. This technology could be as revolutionary as the one he used earlier in "Terminator 2".
