Sometimes it happens successful adaptation, sometimes not, but one of these movies does not take away, corporate identity, "the king of horrors." It is worth remembering a few moments of the paintings "Children of the Corn," "Shine," "Pet Sematary", "It," and you will once again feel the familiar fear of a cooling. Originally, the story "1408" was part of audiobooks, but in 2002 it was published.

To complete the last chapter of the new Pulp Fiction "Ten nights in hotel rooms with the ghosts, he left to visit the only room at the Dolphin 1408. Despite all the warnings and excuses hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), Mike moves into room 1408, unoccupied for several years because of the death of 56 guests. Mike, like many other characters in Stephen King has to go through - from skepticism and atheism to the true faith of paronormalnoe.

Swedish writer and director Michael Hafstrem became known in the U.S. because of its thriller "Derailed," a drama for "The Devil" he was even nominated for an Oscar (best foreign film). Together with him on the adaptation of "1408" worked all the same members of the team: Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura editor Peter Boyle, the costume designer Natalie Ward, artistic director Andrew Lohse and operator Benoit Delem.

John Cusack the leading role of one the most popular and versatile Hollywood actors in recent years. The film shows Hafstrem Mike Enslin as a man, still reeling from a family tragedy. Preparing for the role, Cusack even read the story by Stephen King, which is based the screenplay.

In the film a lot of beautiful effects, but the emphasis on the idea of the director is not on them. This is not a horror movie, in which killing right and left, it's a psychological thriller, and mystique at the same time. The main theme of the film can be regarded as lack of boundaries between fantasy and reality. Mike is a vision, but all he sees, since it happened. He sees his family members, and many other people who are no longer alive.

The ending story by Stephen King is not too cinematic, and Hafstrem made his final round. In the DVD version, which will be released in a few months after its premiere, the audience will enjoy becoming acquainted with several alternative endings.

Painting comes to hire the 12 th of July. Well filmed the trailer and the magic name of Stephen King will provide a picture in the Russian box office success. Rated IMDB film received 7.7 to 10 point scale, which already says a lot. But, going to a movie, remember that it's just a story, not a full-fledged novel with plenty of subplots, intrigue and unexpected plot twists. Enjoy your viewing.
