Moscow Biennale: new, old forgotten and other projects smooth from the world of art

The first Biennale of Contemporary Art was held two years ago and of course, has become a significant event in the cultural life of the capital. However, the diversity of projects performing arts held at the Biennale is very modest place. Therefore it was decided to conduct the Moscow Biennale of contemporary performing arts, which will acquaint the public with the most significant artistic discoveries in the field of contemporary composition activity, sculpture and dance.

The main theme of the Moscow Biennale of contemporary performing arts - 2007 was multimedia. Critics sum up the whole rationale for the selected concept: on the one hand, the art is interesting novelty. On the other hand, for all periods of existence of art jump from almost everything and create something truly new unimaginably difficult. So many creative personalities combine existing language tools, techniques and figurative motifs. At the junction of these cultural concepts and develops multimedia, reflecting "multiparameter contemporary artistic thinking."

Many people have repeatedly tried to combine music and performance, contemporary art and avant-garde early twentieth century. A peculiar effect of dialogue with tradition is present in virtually every program of the festival. As participants Biennale, this variety of performers and ensembles of contemporary music from Britain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France and Russia.

March 14 German dancer, creator of performances and part-time art Brizhida Ohaym will present the program "Dance of color Loie Fuller." A merikanskaya dancer and teacher, Loie Fuller pioneered the dance, in which she tried to connect the plastic of the ancient Greeks with the artistic ideas of modernism. She became famous experiment with light, flowing fabrics flying, create the effect of "disappearing body". Famous Isadora Duncan was her student, and well-known artists and musicians of the early twentieth century - Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Diaghilev, Fyodor Chaliapin and Auguste Rodin was from her work in admiration. Our contemporary of Brizhida Ohaym tried to recreate the concept of dance Loie Fuller.

Another event Biennale - Project "Lullaby of Moscow", which combines contemporary music and the documentary film "Moscow", by director Michael Kaufmann (1897-1980) and Ilya Kopalin (1900-1976) back in 1927. Musical accompaniment is created by modern Moscow composer Kirill Umansky, Yuri Kasparov, Anton Sofronov and Dmitry Courland. Armed with modern computer programs, they joined the real noise with the "virtual" orchestra. In addition, the sound of completed and live music performed by musicians who, through a specially designed electronic scenography become the most direct participants in the show. The 85-anniversary of Iannis Xenakis is another timed event Biennale - a concert, which will hear the music well-known French composers of different generations, one way or another have experienced in his work the influence of his ideas. Iannis Xenakis - a man of legend, composer and music theorist, architect, mathematician, and a symbol of European avant-garde. He was the author of a completely new concepts in the songs that connect the abstract logic of mathematics, spatial principles of architecture and musical imagery. He was able to explain from a scientific point of view, the concept of sound masses, probabilistic techniques of composition, "symbolic" music. The concert, which will be held on March 22, a program dedicated to Xenakis, performed by his friends - the musicians of the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music. In 1994 the band invited the composer to Moscow, and organized its first in Russia's concert.Conducting the ensemble will be none other than the French conductor Jean Deruaye.

Interesting concert will be held April 5 - will be submitted to London Synfonietta and British electronic studio Warp. A unique feature of the project - a combination of avant-garde classical works of contemporary electronic music. Surprisingly multimedia essay "Insects": during the execution of songs played by a chamber ensemble, and a London DJ World Kalliks complements the sound sounds that emit insects. All this comes against the background of a video series on "The Life of Insects.
