How to learn a foreign language on their own

Learn any language alone is absolutely real. And there are people who learn one language a year, and sometimes in six months. Of course, this does not mean that in such a short period of time they master them to perfection. The main thing is that by putting some goals in language learning, they seek them. Another question is, can this be done in person you are. And it is not only in your abilities. The question is whether you have a strong will, patience, and also serious motivation for language learning.

But you can not start lessons on your own if you want to "just learn the language" or "give us something useful to do tonight." With such motives you stretch out on the strength of a month. If you suddenly feel that learning does not work, do not blame neither the language nor their lack of talent. Once again, think about if you really want to learn a language? If you want this for real, go home and taken for study.

1. Watch movies in a foreign language with subtitles. But do not just look, and work with them. Pay attention to new vocabulary and pronunciation, in which cases used one or another word. Start with simple, no brow movies, where all the expressions heard a very clear and understandable.

2. The choice of a textbook. At the moment there is a huge selection of tutorials and books in foreign languages. They all fall to the levels and nature of training. Choose the right book can help you shop assistant.

3. Be sure to read the book in a foreign language, the dictionary, writing down new words. Subsequently, they need to learn. Is also very effective to listen to audio books.

4. Learn the history of the country. You will dive into not just the historical facts of the state, whose language you teach, but also get a feeling for it.

5. Try instead the daily newspaper you are reading in the subway, buy a publication in a foreign language.

6. Travel! If possible - take a trip to a country whose language you are teaching. This is a great practice.

Do not try to move step by step in language learning "fundamentals of grammar, pronunciation, reading and writing." At the initial stage unravel in yourself that you like the most is given or the like, and beat on that goal. Most importantly - do not do one thing (eg, read-only). Try to do everything at once, and little by little.

If you set a goal to learn the language - you need to get it.
Do not look at language as a high mountain, which must win, in this case, you are bound to stamp the foot, and only very stubborn reach the top. It is better to treat it as a full bath water that you need to bale out. Sooner or later, you do so.
